Hmm been awhile since I did an update so here it goes... Been pretty busy rebuilding Sisterhood, the sim my main store is in. yes I know its been rebuilt before. But this build is staying and is something im finaly hapy with. Couldnt have gotten as far as I have on it without my friend Niemacks help. It has a pretty relaxed feeling to it and is still under construction. We wanted to get the other stores moved in to their new locations though so we opened up part of it. I sat down about two weeks ago and made 42 pairs of eyes, 6 variations of 7 colors. That series is called Extreme Eyes and are available at my main store, through any resellers that are lurking outthere and on SLExchange . Speaking of resellers. Any of you out there who use the Apez vending system can resell my tattoos for up to 20% commission of each sale! If you are doign this please message me so I can add you to the resellers group on Apez so you recieve the extra commision and not just the 10% that everyone else gets if they are not part of this group. After getting a few responses to the Skin Maker Wanted ad I put out...and all of them tanking, wanting a crazy amount for skins they would also be giving to others and were not that great in my opinion, I decided to get together with a friend of mine from Atomic Pink and we have begun designing skins that will be for sale in the future Im not setting a release date for these yet since I am a bit of aperfection ist when it comes to skins. I will post more on that as we get closer to that date. I've also been accepted as a texture artist for Textures R Us , and now have 3 texture sets out in just the two weeks that I have been with them. Right now my sets are running with the grungy run down worn out look but we all know I like the modern, scifi look also so keep an eye out for textures along that line in the future! And now for a rant... The business ina box people..yes you know who you are. Im not talking about the legit ones that make their own items and resell them so others may have their own business in Second Life. Afterall we all need our own way to make that little bit of extra Linden to supply our shopping habits in Second Life...after all that is what makes the grid go round. This ran is dedicated to the ones who for some unknown reason cant spend the few minutes it would take to ask permission to use peoples products in their "Business in A Box" deals that are popping up all over. There are alot of hard working designers and artists out there in Second Life who spend hour upon hour making things for the residents to enjoy. And these people feel the need to use other peoples work, name and reputation to further their own questionable business practices. It doesnt take much to learn how to make something to sell within Second LIfe other then drive and determination. Anyone can take classes on how to make clothes, build, script, sculpt, graphics arts, entertain...it is Second Life and the limits are few and far between when compared to real life. Learn to use them to your advantage and stop expoliting other hard working residents. /rant Stormy Wilde |
